Good day Renaissance families. I am Mark Mayfield, principal of Renaissance High School. I joined the Bremerton School District in 2012, and was an assistant principal at Bremerton High School until 2021. Prior to coming to Bremerton, I was an assistant principal at North Kitsap High School and a teacher at University Place High School. I recognized early on that working with young people gives me purpose. Helping students explore their talents and challenge themselves keeps me focused on what’s important. It’s a young person's job to push boundaries as they discover who they are, and who they want to be. I feel privileged to walk that path with them. In my off hours, I hike, kayak, and spend time with family. I look forward to continuing my partnership with your family as the year progresses.
